Sarah: "I give the kids stop"
Lo: Sarah (19) would have a less stressful job to choose.
Then she gets to hear it constantly: "You play ere naked all day!" But at the end of the day she knows exactly what she has done.
And she loves her job! Sarah works in an integrative care center in Cologne-Lindweiler.
Here she is doing her pre-study, so that they can go to vocational school in August in order to become a governess.
Sarah's brief here>
Whether tinkering, painting, putting the children to the toilet, cocoa cook, sing with them or play a lot of comforting substitute Mama - Sarah is always on hand.
"I enjoy working with children. Their development is shaped in the kindergarten age especially from external influences. I like to hang myself purely to support "my" kids here in full. "
Called for Lindweiler is in the catchment area of Heimersdorf and Chorweiler and should not feel guilty "social focus.
"Here it is especially important to give children a halt, so they are prepared for their future life as well," Sarah told me.
To qualify as a trained educator, one must have completed two years vocational school and a year in recognition of an institution. While the professional school years are the focus, inter alia in the fields of education, psychology and didactics.
But children's literature is treated, including subjects such as German or politics. It is important that educators have a broad general knowledge and the child-specific expertise is spot on.
Thus, partly elective subjects are offered as special education, integration, or youth work. Note: Some schools will be charged tuition and exam and admission fees.
Also practical work takes place during the professional school. Each two-week internship in an institution are required. "In the third year, the so"-called "recognition year, you work full time in an institution, and only 16 hours per month attending a trade school," said Sarah.
Only then earned the first money: at city facilities in Cologne 1275 euros a month. While the professional school, there is no compensation. However, it is a "student BAFöG request.
A major shortcoming in the job: a result that many nurseries to close in summer, much of the holiday set. Whether Sarah is fun? "Definitely. The progress that we observe every day with the children, fill my heart. Although it is a lot of stress with a bunch of CRAZY, you get so much back from them. "
