FC Expert Jupp Muller died



Cologne - FC Cologne was his great theme: Jupp Müller, veteran of the Cologne sports journalism, died on Tuesday evening after a long illness at the age of 85 years.
Pretty much everyone knew Jupp Müller FC fan, at least from the look in the newspaper from 1972 to 1988 he was sporting director of the Cologne Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper. Half a century belonged to the journalist, the publisher Neven DuMont Schauberg.
Jupp Müller lived for exciting stories about the FC Cologne - but not exclusively. He reported about a dozen Olympic Games, seven World Cup soccer, four European Championships and over 200 internationals.
Many sports celebrities have "Mueller Jupp," which was honored for his tireless work with the Federal Cross of Merit and the golden badge of honor of the Association of West German sports press (VWS), interviewed in his active days.
     Jupp Müller belonged to the "Miracle of Bern" of the few German reporters in Switzerland belonged.
